Kernel / PRO
Kernel Timer Optimization
Tunes the Windows kernel clock to 0.500 ms. Lower input lag, stabler frametimes - a modern alternative to Timer Resolution / ISLC, with per-game skip lists.
How it works
Precise clock - not another manual tool
The default Windows kernel clock runs at ~15.6 ms. Clicks and mouse moves are polled less often than your hardware allows. SmoothWizard sets 0.500 ms inside one lightweight PRO process.
Comparison
SmoothWizard PRO vs classic tools
No re-enabling on every boot, no guessing the interval. Autostart and DPC awareness in one cockpit.
Full autostart
Timer Resolution / ISLC become optional. The high-freq timer lives in PRO and engages with game detection.
- 0.500 ms - precise interval instead of manual tweaks.
- One process - no extra exe in Windows autostart.
- Fullscreen - engages with the rest of PRO optimizations.
DPC Latency Optimized
Goal: lower system latency, snappier mouse, fewer micro-stutters on camera flicks.
- Input lag - input polled more often.
- Frametime - steadier frame pacing.
- Esports - CS2, Apex, Warzone and similar competitive titles.
PRO panel
Toggle + skip list
Enable globally, then skip Valorant / Fortnite when high-freq feels mixed. Per-game control - no registry digging.
When to skip high-freq
Valorant and Fortnite results can be mixed. The skip list disables the timer only for listed titles.
Software-only
Interrupt interval tuning - not voltage or hardware clock overclocking. It does not wear out components.

In practice
What you feel with it on
Same product logic: less fighting Windows, more control over mouse and frametime.
Less Input Lag
Mouse movement is registered more often - stiffer, cleaner aim feel.
Stabler frametime
Fewer micro-stutters on sudden in-game camera rotations.
No manual ISLC
No separate tools on every boot - PRO has it built in.
Per-game skip list
VALORANT is on the list by default. Edit when a title prefers the timer off.
Autostart with fullscreen
Engages with game detection / no-fullscreen list - no manual ritual.
Part of the PRO stack
Next to background RAM, affinity, and process lists - one optimizations panel.
