RAM / PRO
Reduce background app RAM usage
Give memory back to your game without killing Discord or the browser. SmoothWizard moves inactive background memory to disk - skipping system processes and anti-cheat.
How it works
Disk cache instead of killing processes
Flip the PRO toggle. The engine finds non-critical background processes and partially pages their memory to disk. When you return to an app - resources come back. The game gets free RAM.
In the app
Cockpit and tray shortcut - same action
The basic cockpit has a RAM cleaning card. Pin the same shortcut under tray RMB - no need to open the main window.
Shift to disk
Inactive apps give back part of their RAM. Disk cache - not aggressive process killing.
- Targets: browsers, chat apps, idle background tools.
- Result: more free memory for the game process.
- No Start Menu dig: runs in the background after one toggle.
Restore on demand
When a background app is needed again, SmoothWizard restores resources. Disk is a buffer - not a battlefield.
- Instant: return to the app without a manual restart.
- Alt-Tab: we remember the last app so switching stays smooth.
- SSD: only the cache I/O required for the job.
PRO panel
The fullscreen optimizations toggle
The background option sits next to Kernel Timer and process lists. Enable once - it runs on game detect, skipping anti-cheat.
System processes and anti-cheat
Critical Windows services and anti-cheat stay outside optimization - so you do not risk kicks or instability.
Game process and focus
The game has priority. Optimization targets the background, not the fullscreen title you are playing.
Disk safety
SSD safe - disk as a buffer, not a battlefield
Background RAM reduction does not wipe your disk and does not keep writing nonstop. Inactive memory blocks move to disk cache only when the game needs free RAM - and when you return to an app, resources come back.
- Inactive blocks only: we do not page out the game or critical processes.
- Restore on demand: Discord, browser, or launcher return without a manual restart.
- No fill-and-forget: a working buffer, not a permanent archive eating disk space.
- No I/O thrash: only the cache reads/writes required - no constant SSD hammering.
In practice
What you get with the option on
Same product logic: less manual cleanup, more RAM where frames matter.
More RAM for the game
Resources go to the game engine instead of sitting in idle browsers and launchers.
Keep Discord open
No need to kill chat or the browser before a match - the background hands memory back itself.
Zero configuration
One PRO toggle. No hand-built lists, no scripts, no reboots.
Disk-safe caching
Disk cache only for inactive blocks. Back in the app - resources return.
Alt-Tab that still works
Game ↔ browser stays usable. We keep the last-app context.
Part of the PRO stack
Works alongside Kernel Timer, process lists, and the rest of fullscreen optimization - one cockpit.

Give RAM to your game with one toggle
Enable it in SmoothWizard PRO, play, return to the background when you want - no Task Manager cleanup ritual.
