Marvel Rivals: PRO config, Reflex, and LOD Bias
In Marvel Rivals start with Basic: Change Power Plan, Turn off memory compression, and Fullscreen flip mode (FSO) on Legacy. Config, LOD Bias, and window priority are PRO. In-game set Display Mode to Fullscreen and V-Sync to Off. Turn on NVIDIA Reflex when you have frame headroom. Move Super Resolution only when the GPU is the bottleneck. Process pause in PRO catches a monitor-covering window or the detection list.
Unreal Engine 5 pulls Lumen and reflections. Catalog and Basic first, then the Video menu. No promised frame count.
Why it stutters
Marvel Rivals keeps Unreal settings in LocalAppData\Marvel\Saved\Config. Optimize Games swaps the files with a backup. LOD Bias is in this profile, unlike Valorant. Reflex cuts latency when you have frames above refresh. Super Resolution lowers GPU cost. Process pause in PRO starts when the window covers the monitor or when Marvel-Win64-Shipping is on the detection list.
Key points
- Basic: Change Power Plan, memory compression, FSO Legacy.
- Marvel Rivals config, LOD Bias, and window priority are PRO.
- In-game: Fullscreen, V-Sync Off, Reflex when you have headroom.
- Process pause in PRO: monitor cover or the detection list.
- 1
Run Basic before you touch config
The Basic optimize tab is Free. Check Change Power Plan on Intel. On AMD you test it on and off. Check Turn off memory compression. Set Fullscreen flip mode (FSO) to Legacy. Then run optimize. Manual RAM clean is PRO, not here.
- 2
Marvel Rivals config is in Optimize Games
Optimize Games is PRO, trial is 7 days. Find Marvel Rivals on the list. Click optimize and pick the folder where the app sees the file. The profile includes config, LOD Bias, and window priority. The app keeps a backup.
- 3
Check where the config lives
LocalAppData\Marvel\Saved\Config, then the Windows client folder. A manual GameUserSettings swap overwrites your menu. That is why a zip from the internet is out. Shader cache is cleaned from the tray, not from this folder.
- 4
Set Fullscreen and V-Sync in-game
Settings > Video. Display Mode: Fullscreen. V-Sync: Off. The app does not click this menu for you. Keep borderless when you need Alt-Tab, knowing the Windows compositor stays in the path.
- 5
Turn on Reflex when you have headroom
NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency: On or On plus Boost when frames sit above monitor refresh. On a weaker PC you can turn it off. Do not mix that test with toggling Super Resolution in the same minute.
- 6
Super Resolution only when the GPU is falling over
DLSS, FSR, or TSR lowers GPU cost. Use it when the card cannot keep up, not for an overlay high score. Global Illumination and reflections are expensive in Unreal Engine 5. Drop them when the frame falls apart.
- 7
Process pause does not need Display Mode Fullscreen
Process pause is PRO. A session starts when the window covers the monitor, or when Marvel-Win64-Shipping is on the Non-fullscreen game detection list. Turn off Discord, NVIDIA, and Game Bar overlays for the test.
- 8
After changes go to the range, not ranked
Ranked from the first round tells you nothing. Practice or one casual match shows whether the frame holds. Someone else's overlay number is not your result. Do not load a zip instead of the app.
Notes
Keep in-game UI names in English: Settings, Video, Display Mode, Fullscreen, V-Sync, NVIDIA Reflex, On, Boost, DLSS, FSR, TSR. In the app: Optimize Games, Legacy. Forum FPS numbers do not belong on your PC.
FAQ
Click a question to show the answer. The first one is open.
Does LOD Bias work in Marvel Rivals?
This title's PRO profile includes LOD Bias. In Valorant that slider does nothing. Do not copy a CS2 preset. Leave what Optimize Games writes.
Should I always enable Reflex plus Boost?
When frames sit above monitor refresh, On plus Boost makes sense because it cuts latency. On a weaker PC you can turn it off. Do not mix that test with toggling Super Resolution.
What is Free versus PRO?
Change Power Plan, memory compression, and FSO Legacy are Basic. Config, LOD Bias, window priority, and process pause are PRO. The 7-day trial lives in the app, not on the Pay site.
Does the app inject into Marvel Rivals?
No. It does not read game memory or draw an overlay in the title. Anti-cheat stays with NetEase.
Does pause require exclusive fullscreen?
No. In PRO a session starts when the window covers the monitor, or when the process is on the Non-fullscreen game detection list.
Will a booster add magic FPS?
No. Nobody honest promises an ad frame count. You run Basic, the PRO config, and the Video menu, then you test in practice.
