Low-end PC hitching in games? Checklist before a booster

On a weak PC the gain is background and settings, not a magic FPS number from an ad. Overlays off, high-performance power plan, fewer shadows, fullscreen. SmoothWizard power plan is Basic. Pausing chosen processes on fullscreen is PRO. Shader cache: tray. Do not run two boosters at once.

A 500+ FPS desktop often feels nothing. 8-16 GB RAM and a weak GPU will.

    Discord, Steam, NVIDIA, Game Bar. One overlay hurts a weak CPU more than an 8-core.

    High performance in Windows or the OEM Performance mode. In the app that is Basic while optimization is on.

    Shadows and effects low. Medium/Low textures on 4 GB VRAM. V-Sync off, cap FPS to Hz or below so 1% lows do not fall off a cliff.

    Not borderless. Less Windows compositor. Close a tab-heavy Chrome.

Will a booster add 100 FPS?

Nobody honest promises that. On a weak PC you feel 1% lows and input, not the OSD average.

Is 8 GB RAM enough?

Depends on the game. Chrome next to CS2 on 8 GB is a bad idea. Close the browser before queue.
