CS2 stutters only on FACEIT? Overlay, Discord, anti-cheat
If CS2 hitches on FACEIT and Premier on the same PC feels smoother, the stack is overlay plus anti-cheat, not a missing booster. Leave FACEIT Anti-Cheat on. Turn off Discord overlay, Steam Overlay, the NVIDIA or AMD overlay, and Overwolf. Fullscreen, V-Sync off. Isolation test: FACEIT client, Steam, and CS2 only. SmoothWizard: power plan is Basic. Poland sits in the FACEIT pack, so this query returns every season. FACEIT support on FPS drops and input lag tells you to strip foreign overlays, not to kill AC. SmoothWizard does not inject into CS2 and will not replace a Discord overlay you left on.
Why it stutters
Premier, deathmatch, and a FACEIT match can share the same video settings, then frametime dies when the FACEIT client starts. Anti-cheat has to stay. Discord overlay, Steam Overlay, NVIDIA App, Xbox Game Bar, and Overwolf add a hook per frame. Borderless makes that hook easier. Isolation (FACEIT AC + Steam + CS2 only) tells you whether the platform is the hitch, or the rest of the PC.

Is it FACEIT only
Play deathmatch or Premier with the same video settings. If it hitches only after you enter through the FACEIT client, you are hunting overlay and AC, not a magic FPS cap.

Discord overlay
Discord: User Settings > Game Overlay > turn off Enable in-game overlay. For the match, Hardware Acceleration too if you stream. The Discord guide stays for other games.

Steam Overlay
Steam > Settings > In-Game: uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game. Or Library > CS2 > Properties > General for CS2 only. Shift+Tab is not required for FACEIT.

NVIDIA or AMD overlay
NVIDIA App / legacy GeForce Experience: in-game overlay and Instant Replay off. AMD Adrenalin: in-game overlay off. This is not NVIDIA Reflex. Reflex is a separate CS2 Video mode.

Overwolf, widgets, RGB
Close Overwolf, in-game FACEIT stat widgets, and iCue / Armoury / SignalRGB for the test. Keep only what the match cannot start without.

Fullscreen
In CS2: fullscreen, not borderless. V-Sync off. Borderless is convenient for Alt+Tab and for overlay hooks.

FACEIT isolation test
Close the rest. Launch the FACEIT client, wait for anti-cheat, join a server. FACEIT support on FPS drops / input lag is built on that test: AC, Steam, the game. Do not disable AC, even if the command line shows -allow_third_party_software.

Should I disable FACEIT Anti-Cheat so it stops hitching?
No. Without AC you will not play a FACEIT match. You test the other overlays with AC on, not the other way around.
Do I need Shift+Tab for FACEIT?
No. FACEIT has its own client. Steam Overlay is not required for CS2.
Premier is smooth, FACEIT hitches. Is that normal?
It happens. Premier does not load the FACEIT client and its AC. Isolate overlays first, then driver and fullscreen.
Does SmoothWizard pause FACEIT?
It does not inject into CS2. PRO pauses chosen processes on fullscreen. FACEIT AC and the client stay off that list.
Turn off Xbox Game Bar too?
Yes, for the test. Windows: Settings > Gaming > Game Bar. Captures: Record what happened off. The Game Bar guide stays for Windows.
Can I play FACEIT in borderless?
You can, but overlays hook easier. Isolation uses fullscreen. You return to borderless on purpose, not by habit.
